General Electric U33C

The General Electric U33C was a 3300 horsepower heavy mainline locomotive.  Conrail inherited 39 U33C's, 24 from the Penn Central, and 15 from the Erie Lackawanna.  These units were all retired by 1986.

   U33C 6574, (PC),  passes Kittanning Point station at Horseshoe Curve on July 7, 1979
    Six months later,  U33C 6574 was on the High Line above Penn Coach Yard at 30th Street Station in Philadelphia on January 16, 1980.
