When we first arrived at Coral Cove, we thought there had been some mistake. This beautiful "cottage" (try villa) for $50 a night (1990, offseason)? What's the catch? There was none. So, we just hung around this perfect spot and and enjoyed it.

Our cottage and the view of Mt Hartman bay. The reef which protects the beach can be seen in this view.
The view of our cottage from the beach. The beach is very sheltered by a small reef that almost completely encircles it. The is a sandy path cut through the seagrass to a waist deep sandy bowl that's just made for wading and lounging about in. You can snorkel around to the to the outside of the reef on the left side of the beach where a local fisherman keeps his small boat.
I made another new friend at Coral Cove, and I don't even know his name. He is the biggest, blackest, and friendliest German Shepherd I have ever met. We became best buddies.
After trying for a few hours to take a picture of the humming birds that frequented the hibiscus shrubs at Coral Cove. I settled for a picture of this bird.
Fooled you. This is sunrise at Coral Cove. After almost two weeks of vacation, we tried to force ourselves to stay up until 9:00 PM, we didn't make it. But the sunrises were worth it.
