Supreme Court Strikes Down Texas Sodomy Law
On June 27, 2003, the United States Supreme Court, in a 6-3 decision, overturned a Texas law that forbade sodomy between homosexuals.
"Increasingly, the Supreme Court is less about true law and more about policy and politics." That is the opinion of Steve Crampton, chief counsel for the American Family Association's Center for Law & Policy, which filed a brief in support of the State of Texas on behalf of numerous pro-family organizations. "Today's decision represents yet another instance of the Court not merely declaring the law, but actually making it," says Crampton, who had argued that issues of morality are under the authority of states, not the federal courts. "Under our constitutional republic, it is the place of the state legislature, acting through its duly elected representatives, to decide what is moral," he says. Citing the 14th Amendment's Due Process Clause, the high court said in its 6-3
ruling that states cannot punish homosexual couples for engaging in sex acts
that are legal for heterosexuals. Critics of the decision differ on the
legitimacy of the Texas sodomy law, but they agree the court has usurped the
role of lawmakers, establishing a far-reaching precedent that threatens any law
based on moral choices, including incest and polygamy. "There is no
constitutional right to engage in homosexual sodomy," said Kelly Shackelford,
chief counsel of the Liberty Legal
Institute, which filed an amicus brief on behalf of nearly 70 Texas
legislators. "Read the Constitution as many times as you'd like. It's not
there."

On June 27, 2003, the United States Supreme Court, in a 6-3 decision, overturned a Texas law that forbade sodomy between homosexuals, which completely disregards the 10th Amendment of the United States, which reads as follows: "The powers not delegated to the United States by the Constitution, nor prohibited to the States, are reserved to the States receptively, or to the people." There is no constitutional right to engage in homosexual sodomy. Read the Constitution as many times as you'd like. It's not there. Legal issues of morality are reserved for states to decide.

The Constitution provides an impeachment process, through Congress, to remove justices from the bench who demonstrate they will not abide by the rule of law. Unfortunately, Congress will do nothing unless they hear from you.
I implore you to contact your Federal Congressional Representative and demand that impeachment proceedings begin against Justices Kennedy, Breyer, Souter, Ginsburg, Stevens, and O'Connor. Described as a “defensive measure against Communist attacks of violence,” the decree announced that in light of the terrorist attack on the Reichstag, “restrictions on personal liberty, on the right of free expression of opinion, including freedom of the Press; on the rights of assembly and association; violations of the privacy of postal, telegraphic, and telephonic communications; warrants for house searches; orders for confiscation as well as restrictions on property, are permissible beyond the legal limits otherwise prescribed.”
I am not calling our present administration a bunch of Nazis; however, the passing of the Patriot Act has enabled any future leader of our country to use the Patriot Act in the same way that Hitler used his Patriot Act!

This proposal gives the Federal Government expanded power to snoop into the private affairs of American citizens without acquiring a warrant or meeting the constitutional standards of probable cause. However, perhaps the most disturbing portion of the draft is the provision that would give the government the power to revoke United States citizenship for engaging in political activity.”

crime, suicides, divorces, substance abuse, and gambling addiction name only a
few problems that increased gambling will bring. After July 28 it goes back to the Senate
where it faces intense scrutiny.

The socialist Republican-controlled Pennsylvania House of Representatives Grinch stole our Christmas by raising our income tax over nine percent on 12/22/2003, which will result in more than 33,140 jobs not being created in Pennsylvania, reduce our collective private investments by $80.7 million, personal income by $310 million, and disposable income by $1.4 billion, according to Matthew J. Brouillette, president of The Commonwealth Foundation!
More than just an attack on our personal income, this is a socialist attack on our institutions of faith, as Barna Research, on May 19, 2003 reported that tithing is down 62% in the past year; the termination of $1.4 billion of our disposable income slashes and gauges viciously deeper into the lifeblood of the offering plates of our institutions of faith!

Bush in the upcoming presidential election. "We are not talking about an error or two that Bush has made in his time as president, rather a pattern of ungodly decisions to embrace and promote evil," stated Marcavage. The scripture declares, "Wherefore by their fruits ye shall know them." Matthew 7:20 "Bush claims to be a Christian, but his works do not attest to this," Marcavage continued. In Titus 1:16 the scripture says, "They profess that they know God; but in works they deny him, being abominable, and disobedient, and unto every good work reprobate."
"We invite Christians to take a look at the BushRevealed.com website and investigate for themselves the documentation and history of Bush's anti-Christian words and deeds," Lefemine said. "In the November 2004 elections, my prayer, hope, and plea with Christians is to vote for righteousness," he says. Institute on The Constitution Video/Course
Institute on the Constitution is a course of studies consisting of twelve sessions with one session conducted every week. This weekly session can be held in a home, office, community hall, public library, Sunday School or Bible Study setting. The sessions are typically an hour to an hour and a half in length and begin with a welcome and introduction to the lesson of the day which is done by a leader or “host”. (We want to make clear at the outset that there are no special qualifications for the person acting as “host” or “leader”. This person need not be an attorney, professional speaker, or anyone with any special knowledge of the United States Constitution.)
The introduction is followed by the presentation of a thirty-minute video lecture by Dr. John Eidsmoe. Dr. Eidsmoe is a professor of constitutional law at the Thomas Goode Jones School of Law at Faulkner University in Montgomery, Alabama. A syllabus containing Dr. Eidsmoe’s lecture notes is included with the video. It is recommended that this syllabus be provided to the students so that they can follow the lecture clearly. Also the syllabus provides a quick and accurate reference to the material covered. If the entire syllabus cannot be reproduced for the class, we recommend, as a minimum, that the “discussion questions” at the end of each lecture be handed out.
After completion of the video, the host directs the attention of the group to the questions at the end of the syllabus and begins the discussion with the first question or with any other pertinent question that he feels might have special relevance to the group. We have also found it appropriate here to insert a brief segment on “current events”. Almost every week, in the local or national news, we see stories that have constitutional implications. It is appropriate that we discuss these in light of our growing understanding of constitutional principles and historical precedents.

Part One of this video is an overview of various political systems. The liberal media masters would have us believe that the 20th Century has been an era in which "democracy," the rule of the majority, has triumphed over a number of non-democratic ideologies -- fascism, national socialism, and, in the last two years, communism. This system is responsible, in large part, for the enormous prosperity that has characterized our nation and, until recently, when liberal social engineers got hold of things, was the envy of the world.
On the one hand, Mr. McManus relates, responsible and mature people prefer the free enterprise system because it affords the greatest possible personal freedom, linked with the greatest possible opportunity. America became a great nation because it was blessed for so long with citizens who had the wisdom to understand and preserve free enterprise. On the other hand, the lazy and the cowardly usually prefer socialism, which sometimes provides them an effortless subsistence, but at a terrible cost. Socialism inevitably crushes man's imagination and creativity, steals his freedom, and destroys the very foundation of a society's wealth and prosperity.
Socialism, Mr. McManus shows, is an unworkable economic system at odds with man's nature; it walks hand-in-hand, so to speak, with democracy, an unworkable system of government also at odds with man's nature. Both possess a coarse, demagogic appeal, and both make abundant use of the worst instincts of the mob: destructiveness, envy, jealousy and hate. Both lead to primitivistic totalitarianism, to universal poverty, and to the death of civilization. McManus' presentation of contrasting economic systems is trenchant, crisp and convincing.
