On July 17, 2001, Rep. Souder's (R-IN) subcommittee of the Government Reform Committee had a hearing on the alternatives to killing human embryos for their stem cells. One of the witnesses was Hannah Strege and her family. Hannah used to be a frozen embryo at an IVF clinic. She was adopted by the Strege family in 1998 and THEN implanted in her new mom's womb. She is now 2 1/2 years old in 2001.

Those of us who call ourselves Christians or Jews must vote pro-life; if not, it is only just to label yourself pagan and be truthful to yourself and the world. Allow me to share with you the Jewish and Christian reasons for why abortion is an abomination to God and must be used as a litmus test for, not only the upcoming presidential election, but for every election and every opportunity for which we can cast a vote or speak up.
The Tanakh is the Hebrew Bible (the Old Testament). It comprises the "Torah" (the five books of Moses), the Prophets - "Nevi'im" (the Former Prophets, "Nevi'im Rishonim"; and the Later Prophets, "Nevi'im Ahronim"), and the Writings - "Ketuvim" (these all comprise the Old Testament). Jews and Christians, by definition, believe the Tanakh (the Old Testament) to be holy word of God through His prophets. Nowhere in the Tanakh (Old Testament) does God say that it is ok to kill any of His children for any reason. In fact, it says quite the opposite.
In the Ketuvim is the Book of Psalms, where two of the most respected God-ordained leaders in the history of the world, King David and King Solomon, speak of the importance of children and the preservation of their lives. Since the Tanakh is the first half of the Christian Bible, both Christians and Jews, by definition, are to believe the writings as God's own, which state that, not only are we never to kill His children, but that His children are His before they are even brought together from a sperm and an egg. I am including the references so that you can see it for yourself.
Psalm 139:13-16, Author: King David
"For you created my inmost being; you knit me together in my mother's womb. I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made; your works are wonderful,I know that full well. My frame was not hidden from you when I was made in the secret place. When I was woven together in the depths of the earth, your eyes saw my unformed body. All the days ordained for me were written in your book before one of them came to be.
The following is taken from the New King James Version, Life Application Bible, Tyndale House Publishers, Wheaton, Illinois.
Psalm 127:3-5 Author: King Solomon "Behold, children are a heritage from the Lord, The fruit of the womb is a reward. Like arrows in the hand of a warrior, So are the children of one's youth. Happy is the man who has his quiver full of them; They shall not be ashamed, But shall speak with their enemies in the gate."
Here is the life application commentary (p. 1057): "Too often children are seen as liabilities rather than assets. But the Bible calls children a heritage from the Lord," a reward. We can learn valuable lessons from their inquisitive minds and trusting spirits. Those who view children as a distraction or nuisance should instead see them as an opportunity to shape the future. We dare not treat children as an inconvenience when God values them so highly."
Seeing how, according to the Tanakh and the Bible, abortion IS killing a person, God's child, it IS Eugenics, because the person is not wanted because he or she falls into a category created by another person other than the one being killed (those categories being: "unwanted", "mistake", "rape", "incest"). It IS Eugenics to Jews and Christians because, as the Tanakh and Bible references prove, killing a baby because its father is a rapist or related to its mother is the same as walking up to someone and killing them because their father is a rapist or is related to their mother. A baby, a fertilized human egg, is a Person. "Fathers shall not be put to death for their children, nor shall children be put to death for their fathers; a person shall be put to death for their own sin. Deuteronomy 24:16." If you don't believe this, then according to the Tanakh and the Bible, you're not a Jew or a Christian. You're a Pagan.
The Republican Party is Pro-Abortion?
Republican President George W. Bush, Republican Federal Senator Rick Santorum, and Republican Federal Senator Candidate Pat Toomey all condone the satanic bloody premeditated execution of innocent baby boys and girls whose fathers happen to be criminals (rapists or those who had sex with relatives), which not only knowingly rebels against the Jewish Tanakh and the Christian Bible, the living Word of God, but is unconstitutional, since the United States Constitution states, "We the People of the United States, in Order to form a more perfect Union, establish Justice, insure domestic Tranquility, provide for the common defense, promote the general Welfare, and secure the Blessings of Liberty to ourselves and our Posterity, do ordain and establish this Constitution for the United States of America," with "our Posterity" being those who are pre-born, not yet conceived, and not even thought of yet for family growth!

Human adult stem cell clinical trials have successfully treated autoimmune diseases such as lupus, multiple sclerosis, Crohn's disease, and rheumatoid arthritis; they restored vision in cases of blindness; they restored proper cardiac function to heart attack sufferers; and they restored movement in spinal cord injury patients.
On the contrary, embryonic stem cell research, which requires the murder of innocent pre-born children to acquire the cells, has not produced any successes at all in clinical trials, but it is proven to cause tumors, and because embryonic stem cells are foreign DNA to a patient, the patient would have to take anti-rejection medicine for the rest of his or her life!
