Dear Friend, I'm sending out this IQ* Early Edition because it contains time-critical information for citizens of Pennsylvania. It also contains time-critical information for you if you live anywhere in the United States or anywhere in the world (release of Harry Potter movie)! Another reason for why I'm sending this edition out early is that I'll be speaking at a dinner/seminar on Thursday night, opening and closing, in prayer, for a man who is a historian and educator for the John Birch Society. My opening prayer will include one written by Benjamin Franklin, and my closing prayer will be one written by President George Washington. Please pray for God's blessing on this seminar. The Rev. Douglas Taylor, the ministry's director, extended an open invitation to concerned parents, school board members, teachers, librarians, bookstore owners, clergy and anyone who may have opposing views concerning the Harry Potter phenomenon. The Jesus Party held a book-cutting in Kennedy Park last November on the eve of the "Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone" movie debut. Taylor thought that it would be appropriate to once again rise to the occasion and hold a sequel to his Potter protest. This week's anti-Potter event will take place on the eve of the release of "Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets." A video produced by Jeremiah Films called "Harry Potter: Witchcraft Repackaged" will be shown on a giant screen. In the video, best-selling authors Robert S. McGee and Caryl Matrisciana answer questions and draw parallels between Harry Potter and true witchcraft as practiced today, with actual interviews and footage of witches, their rituals and spells. http://www.JeremiahFilms.com The conference will conclude with the cutting up of the "Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets" book. "I have been branded by Potter fans as a chief muggle and I would feel bad if I didn't live up to their expectations," Taylor said in a prepared statement. A muggle is considered to be a boring, blinded and biased human who doesn't believe in the world of witches or who despises it as evil. +++ IQ* Note: Find out everything you need to know about Harry Potter and the media-controlled marketing to children and adults into the Occult at: http://users.netreach.net/InfoQuest/Occult.htm ==================== ==================== (2) Pa. Hate Crimes Bill Moving FAST CONTACT YOUR PA. HOUSE REPRESENTATIVE RIGHT NOW Does Silence Mean Media, Homosexual Lobby in Cahoots in PA? By Rusty Pugh November 12, 2002 (AgapePress) - A Pennsylvania pro-family activist says by not reporting on a proposed so-called "hate crimes" bill, the liberal mainstream media is an accomplice to the homosexual agenda. Diane Gramley is president of the American Family Association of Northwestern Pennsylvania. She says a bill is sneaking through the state House that would make any opposition to homosexuality -- including thoughts -- a crime. The bill began life as an agriculture-related measure, designed to protect farmers against vandalism. But Gramley says the bill has been hijacked by the pro-homosexual lobby, and is now a hate crimes bill. She says most lawmakers are not even aware of this, noting the House bill number has not changed -- but that the entire wording has been replaced. In doing so, she says, the pro-homosexual lobby has sneaked the bill through, and the measure is now on its way towards the governor's desk [the bill will be brought to a vote in the Pa. House soon]. She says the media has acted as a willing accomplice by ignoring the bill. "I've sent out numerous news releases about this [but] the media in Pennsylvania has not picked it up at all," she says. "The only place I've been able to find any indication of this is on gay news websites. "My interpretation would be that [the media] are all for it, and that they don't want Pennsylvanians to know about it. They are willing accomplices and are doing their roles in remaining silent." Gramley says the bill, if signed, will actually make any opposition to homosexuality -- including preaching the gospel -- a crime. Rob Schenck of the group Faith and Action [ http://www.faithandaction.org ] says the banner of the Ten Commandments is still up on the front of his group's Ministry Center on Capitol Hill -- even though the District of Columbia legal department is trying to find a way to have it removed. "We have asserted our First Amendment rights," Schenck says. Even though he is a bit pessimistic about the outcome of that legal challenge, Schenck thinks, in the end, they will likely claim there is a violation of something by having the Ten Commandments displayed. Schenck says his cadre of attorneys is getting ready to fight any effort to get the huge banner removed. Meanwhile, the Decalogue is hanging before the eyes of the Supreme Court justices every day. ==================== ==================== (5) National 2nd Amendment News National Ammo Day is Tuesday, November 19 http://www.cnsnews.com/Culture/archive/200210/CUL20021017a.html Related Articles: Nine Myths of Gun Control http://www.2asisters.org/education/ninemyths.htm The Bible and self-defense http://www.wnd.com/news/article.asp?ARTICLE_ID=25442 The Reserve (Citizen) Militia of The United States of America http://users.netreach.net/InfoQuest/Civil_Defense.htm The Moral Case for Self Defense and Firearms http://www.shopnetdaily.wnd.com/store/item.asp?ITEM_ID=373
