"Erich, what Are you talking about?" The Bible tells us to be salt, to be used as an anti-infection tool, just as salt was used to preserve food, we are to be used to preserve our Judeo-Christian culture. I report trouble areas, and through prayer and help requests to the Holy Spirit, I and our InfoQuest* family members provide solutions to those trouble areas. Being salty isn't always a "happy happy joy joy" activity; but it is required by our Lord for us to partake. What can I say, it doesn't get any better than this, being thrown out of the Republican party because I am too conservative? Well, I have stayed with the Republican Platform, and point out those who do not. Well, this is a clear picture of the Republican party today. The worst part is that they allow liberal judges in the democrat party to come over and run on the Republican ticket without even a whimper. But when a Bible believing Christian wants to run on their ticket they complain. More bad news, Judge Hobbs has ruled to throw out my case. I am not sure of the cause yet seeing he filed a long brief and my lawyers are reviewing it. It is a sad day in America when a Christian who wants the constitution to be followed cannot get a day in court. Retaking America through the courts system may in deed be a dead end. The "left" or "liberal" view of the faith tends to be given more credibility and the "conservative" interpretation often gets short shrift. Billy Bob Thornton stars in 'The Alamo' (Touchstone Pictures) In a statement, Freedom Alliance slammed Michael Eisner and Walt Disney Pictures, the film's maker, for rewriting history in the movie, which is scheduled to open April 9. "The movie reads more like a Disney fairy tale and promotes a politically correct revisionist agenda aimed at destroying a traditional American hero," said B. Forrest Clayton, a Freedom Alliance visiting fellow. Clayton says he obtained a screenplay of the film and found it to be "full of inaccuracies." He says Davy Crockett is portrayed as a "frightened wanderer" who wanted to escape "over the wall" in the dark of night during the historic battle, but felt paralyzed and trapped by his own underserved heroic reputation. An unofficial website for the film calls it "a tale of a handful of men who stood up for their passion and ideals against an overwhelming force. "In the spring of 1836, in the face of insurmountable odds, fewer than 200 ordinary men who believed in the future of Texas held the fort for 13 days against thousands of Mexican soldiers led by dictator Gen. Antonio Lopez de Santa Anna." Freedom Alliance says the film has Crockett captured, bound and executed on his knees after the battle was over, "even though the historical evidence shows that he was killed fighting, in the thick of combat, during the battle." 1955 comic book: Fess Parker in Walt Disney's Davy Crockett at the Alamo The group cites several historical witnesses who backed up the story of a heroic Crockett. Said the group's statement: "The movie makers ignored these witnesses that corroborated Crockett's heroic death in combat and based his capture and execution in the film on a suspect portion of Jose Enrique De La Pena's supposed diary/memoir which handwriting expert Charles Hamilton proved was a forgery by John Laflin, aka John Lafitte, a prominent American forger of papers on American pirates and frontier heroes." The government of Mexico has agreed to provide Spanish-language textbooks, cultural awareness programs, and even more teachers to school children and their parent in Los Angeles. It is part of Mexican President Vicente Fox's program to reach out to Mexicans living abroad. K.C. McAlpin with the group ProEnglish says it is somewhat unprecedented for a foreign government to be involved in the public schools of a major U.S. city. "The Mexican government, if it's truly concerned about helping children in their education, might want to focus its attention more on its own children in its own country, rather than on Hispanic students in Los Angeles, not all of whom are of Mexican origin," McAlpin suggests. The executive director for the English-advocacy group also has a suggestion for the L.A. Unified School District: focus on implementing English-immersion program, which he says have shown good results. "There's been tremendous change in California," the Texas native says, "and the results are providing hard evidence that even the educators out there who were opposed to doing away with bilingual education cannot deny [and] cannot explain the tremendous improvement in grade scores among kids taking the test on English competency and English fluency." The Mexican government says it intends to offer similar programs in other U.S. cities. The former crocodile hunter dived from the boat, landed on the back of the reptile and gouged one of its eyes until it freed the girl. Hannah Thompson was swimming with other children at Margaret Bay near the top of Cape York Peninsula yesterday when the crocodile attacked. Mr Turner heard screams and a shout of "crocodile" and in no time was hurtling through the air towards the water. "I was pitching myself off the boat and I could see the black shadow in the water. He came out when I was already launched and I landed right on him," he said today. "I landed fair on its back and I got a finger in its left eye, I missed the right eye, but he got a fright and he let go," said the 57-year-old, who hunted crocs in Papua New Guinea more than 30 years ago. He estimated the croc to be around 3.3 metres long. "They will always let go when you go for an eye because it's their vulnerable point and their livelihood." When Hannah was safely aboard with deep puncture wounds in her lower arm, Mr Turner took the excursion party back to Haggerstone Island, where he runs the guesthouse with his wife Anna. An airlift was arranged to the Thursday Island Hospital where Hannah was today reported to be in a stable condition. A young boy on the boat received light scratch marks from the croc during the confusion. Mr Turner said it was highly unusual for a crocodile to come into such shallow water in daylight with so many people about. "It was lucky it wasn't a smaller child further out from the boat." He said Hannah was incredibly brave and appeared to have held her own with the croc while it had her arm. "She made a joke about losing her watch, she said the alarm was set for five o'clock if you want to go after that crocodile," Mr Turner said. Queensland Parks and Wildlife Service crocodile management unit leader Mark Read said wildlife officers would travel to the bay tomorrow to try to find and shoot the crocodile. The animal continued to circle the boat after the incident. Mr Read said the next most recent attack in Queensland was in September 2001 when a young girl was bitten on the arm by a small crocodile.
