He reigned for fifty five years in Jerusalem. He took the place of his father Hezekiah who had done much good during his rule. II Chronicles 33:2) But did that which was evil in the sight of the Lord, like unto the abominations of the heathen, whom the Lord had cast out before the children of Israel.) Verses 3-8 tell of all the evil things he did. Verse 9 “So Manasseh made Judah and the inhabitants of Jerusalem to err and to do worse than the heathen, whom the Lord had destroyed before the children of Israel.” Verse 10 & 11 tells us that the Lord spoke to the people and their king but they would not listen. How many times has God spoken to us and we wouldn’t listen. People are no different now than they were back in the days of the Kings. Verse 11 “Wherefore the Lord brought upon them the captains of the host of the king of Assyria, which took Manasseh among the thorns, and bound him with fetters, and carried him to Babylon.” Why do have to learn things the hard ways? We, in our pride, think we can rule our own lives and don’t need a God to tell us what to do. But when we get into deep trouble we most often turn to God to get us out of it. Verses 12 & 13 “And when he was in affliction, he besought the Lord his God, and humbled himself greatly before the God of his fathers. And prayed unto Him: and He was entreated of Him, and heard his supplication, and brought him again to Jerusalem into his kingdom. Then Manasseh KNEW that the Lord He was God. Do we acknowledge that the Lord is God? Or do we, too have our share of idols? We must remember that all through Bible history, the Old and the New Testament, that people forgot their Maker and turned to inanimate objects to worship and expect them to do “miracles” for them but it never happens. In the beginning they “seem” to bless us and eventually they put us into bondage. The “nice” things about these gods is that we think we can more or less control them until we get obsessed by them and they begin to control us. Our Father, God, the Creator of ALL things is the only true God we can NOT control. He has the only right to control anyone or anything. When this Almighty, omnipresent God controls our lives, we are freer than when we try to do it ourselves. If I keep repeating this, it is so one day it may sink in that God’s way is the ONLY way to go. All other ways fail. Oh, pardon me, but you aren’t like those people. Think about it? One of the Egyptian gods was Ra, the sun god. Anything in moderation (and not explicitly against God’s commands) is not bad but when you become obsessed about it, whatever “it” might be then you are in trouble. “It” takes over control. Ra, the sun god is very much reigning today. Many aren’t satisfied going to the beach to get a natural suntan. These don’t stay long with you. To accommodate a year round suntan, making you look as though you just came back from Florida or other warm places, tanning salons are popping up all over the world. You let yourselves get cooked under unnatural heat. You spend a fortune and your body becomes another idol. You just have to go to some rigorous exercise place to get your body in shape (other than the one God gave you) to go with the tanning. More money is spent and it goes along with the stress you give yourself to rearrange all your parts. You do need Vitamin D in your diet and being in the sun helps to get this. But how much is enough? Too much sun can cause skin cancer. Is it worth the price to cook yourself to death to look fashionable. Fashion is a great idol we often worship. One time it was NOT fashionable to be tan. The women did everything to keep their complexion nice and light. They wore large brimmed hats or carried parasols to keep the sun off them. When did fashion dictate that you had to be tan and skinny to look good? You don’t actually bow to Ra but the sun is important to you, even it is artificial sun just like Ra is an artificial god. Is it worth it? Do you think to give that much time in giving homage to the only God? You can get mad at me if you want but the Holy Spirit led me this way. It has to be said. And I have to obey. Are your children one of the gods that can’t be appeased? Do they stand high on their altar and make you feel small? How did we make them one of our idols? Did our parents dare to be parents and turn a deaf ear to every childhood whim. Was it lack of cash or did they realize too much of a good thing for a child would make him “sick”? It wouldn’t teach them discipline. And many refused to go in debt for so many frivolous items, soon to be discarded. It was a moral issue. Then came that magical credit card. It put unrealistic power into our hands. Made us into a generation of slaves to that small piece of plastic. “Hmmm! I don’t need immediate cash. I can get “IT” and use it “Now”. I don’t have to wait until I have enough money. I got caught in the money trap. Then I would borrow to pay another needless bill off but much interest was added to the smaller amount and almost impossible to get out of the pit. Just like trying to climb up an icy slope. You make a little progress, so you think, and zoom down you slide back to the bottom. You can never get very far until you slide back again. As our kids become an idol, the plastic magic becomes another. It allowed us to kneel at our kids feet and sacrifice much to satisfy their greedy “just have to haves” to keep up with their peers. Realizing the power they have on their parents, they begin to look down on their “self-made slaves”. Don’t get me wrong. All children aren’t like that but more and more are becoming “monsters” who kill their parents because they weren’t allowed to get a pair of the most expensive sneakers. We can’t close our eyes to this fact. It’s getting scarier every day. The signs of the times. Matthew 10:21 “And the brother shall deliver up the brother to death, and the father the child: and the children shall rise up against their parents, and cause them to be put to death.” I had much more to say but this is enough to digest at one time. As time goes on and the Holy Spirit dictates to me, I will write about “Other gods we worship”. Can we be like Manasseh and turn to God when we see how far we have strayed from the simple instructions God has given us to enjoy our life as He had planned it? Modern inventions offer us so much but produce so little in contentment and peace of mind. We run here and there in a continuous frenzy. We do not know how to slow down and spend quality time with our family and especially with God. (There are always exceptions. I can name one lady especially.) We may say a quick prayer when we need help but often when on the run. When the prayer is answered, we may say a quick thank you. When was the last time did we (I am often guilty) actually shut out everything else and spend time with just visiting God without asking for a favor? He wants our company and our undivided attention on a regular basis. We have to cast away anything that is a hindrance to our intimate relationship with God. Moderation is the key word. We don’t have to give up everything but we do have to know when to draw the line. Philippians 4:5 “Let your moderation be known unto all men. The Lord is at hand.” God bless you as you think all this over and you learn to set your priorities right. There was no fanfare, no great marketing plan to all the churches, or free viewing for church leaders and government employees. But it was a remarkable film and one that should have been viewed by every Christian before going to see "The Passion of the Christ." Now that the world has flocked to see the Passion, we need a new Reformation. I guess the old one has worn off. Have we forgotten about the crusades, inquisitions, and the sex scandals? Look at the Catholic Church today almost completely taken over by sodomites. After priests abuse children and women, they threaten their souls if they tell! Our local bishop has threatened a woman to keep her quiet. He said it would be harmful to her, her husband and her children if she told anyone. Her soul was also threatened by her priest. The bishop and priest are still "serving Christ" here in Alabama. Masses of Protestants happily joining hands with the Catholics to see a 100% purely Catholic movie could seal the fate of those caught in this legalistic false gospel. It tramples on the souls of the martyrs who helped bring about the Reformation. And what of the poor souls who live in fear daily wondering where they will spend eternity since the Church has control over their fate? We have done them an injustice by endorsing this film. The Reformation was as important to this country as the Revolutionary War. Had there not been a Reformation, our country would look like South America. Not only have we done an injustice to the true saints gone before us who have died just trying to read the Word of God, what about the 11,000 that have come forward about the sexual abuse done to them as a children? What about all those souls caught up in a religion of works? They may never see the truth now that evangelicals have endorsed Catholicism. I have passion all right. Passion for the souls of those who may never know the truth because the church today does not separate itself from error. I have a passion for the Word of God. All this rhetoric about using it as an evangelism tool, yet at the same time we may have sealed the fate of millions of Catholics. Many asked me why I called the movie "satanic" in my last article. Because it is deceptive and has a strange hold on people. This movie blasphemes the Creator of the Universe, and hardly anyone notices. A crucifixion took place all right. Mel crucified God's word, God's character, and the deity of the Lord Jesus Christ. He used visions from a mystical nun, Ann Catherine Emmerich, to write most of, if not all this story. Her book is called "The Dolorous Passion of Our Lord Jesus Christ." This book was rarely ever purchased, but this last week the sales have jumped to around 17,000. He added so much Catholic tradition, like the Stations of the Cross and took away biblical truths. Jesus was scared, shaking, fainting, falling and begging for mercy, plus shown nude still sitting in the tomb after the stone was rolled away! What ever happened to the Angel who said "He's not here, He has risen"? How's that for blaspheming? The women who played Mary Magdalene, Satan and Pilate's wife are all hard-core porn actresses . Mel stared in a movie,"What Women Want?" , where he tried to lay every woman his flesh desired. Can good fruit come from a bad tree? Mel and most Catholics believe that Mother Mary is CO-redeemer. Pope John Paul II stated: "She (Mary) completes in her flesh as already in her heart what is lacking in the suffering of Christ." Many Popes throughout the years believed that she suffered with Christ for the sins of the world. Mary herself states, in many of her sightings, that "she" gives the Grace needed for redemption. Mary was portrayed this way in the movie. She had psychic powers and a strange connection with Jesus. She transferred power to him so He could continue. Mel even brought the transubstantiation into this movie as he had Mary get Christ's blood in her mouth. Then after Jesus dies, Mary holds him as offering her Son for the sacrifice. Mel made this movie an actual mass. That's why the movie was made in a dead language. Greek is what most non-Jews spoke in Jerusalem during that time. What was Mel's rational for having Peter running to fall at Mary's feet to ask for forgiveness? Why would Peter think he needed Mary's forgiveness? What is this "flesh of my flesh" bulmalarky of Mary? And the betrayal could not be complete without Veronica at the sixth station of the cross. All this from the visions of Emmerich. Since when have evangelicals gone along with visions from anyone other than those in the Bible? Jeremiah 14:14 states: "Then the Lord said unto me, The prophets prophesy lies in my name: I sent them not, neither have I commanded them, neither spake unto them: they prophesy unto you a false vision and divination, and a thing of nought, and the deceit of their heart." Mel is a Traditionalist or a Latin Mass Only Catholic. He believes the doctrine confirmed by the Council of Trent. This council has 125 solemn curses against anyone who teaches salvation by Grace alone in Christ alone. They only worship in Latin and believe the rest of the world are going to hell or to purgatory. Gibson was recorded by Peter Boyer of The New Yorker as saying, "There is no salvation for those outside the Church." He does not believe what Christ did on the cross to be enough to get us to heaven. In his interview with Diane Sawyer, she took him to task with this philosophy, and he then claimed that everyone would eventually go to heaven but the Latin church was the easiest path to get there. Evidently talking about purgatory. All this was the official teaching of Rome prior to Vatican II. The most satanic of all was in the beginning when Jesus was being arrested. The Roman guards should have been lying on the ground if the Bible was followed, but instead Jesus's face was pulverized causing his right eye to be swelled shut. It then stayed swollen shut throughout the movie. It is funny how Mel has a one eyed icon as his logo for Icon Productions. A picture of Ann Emmerich shows her in bed with one eye in a pyramid over her, enlightening her with the vision to write her book. Keeping Jesus one eyed throughout the show, then showing him naked in the tomb reminded me of the picture that the Illuminati uses for the Antichrist. A one-eyed naked man on a white horse. In Zechariah 11:17, Zechariah is talking about the antichrist and says, "Woe to the idol shepherd that leaveth the flock! The sword shall be upon his arm, and upon his right eye: his arm shall be clean dried up, and his right eye shall be utterly darkened." Read that whole chapter, it is very EYE opening! Hey wasn't that Jesus's right eye that was swollen shut in the movie? View Jesus' right eye blackened out on "The Passion of the Christ" web page. (Wait till the picture of Jesus appears.) Vittorio Messor states in his telling article, "'The Passion'...for Its Author, Is A Mass", "no accident that it was pleasing to the Pope and to so many cardinals, not excluding Ratzinger, for whom "The Passion" is a manifesto that abounds in symbols that only a competent eye can fully discern." Mel Gibson used strange terms about the one-eye in his interview with Peter Boyer, "The Jesus War" in the New Yorker. Mel stated, "I wanted to mess up one of his eyes, destroy it." His other strange quote in the same interview, "It's just amazing to me how one-eyed some people are about this thing. I mean, it's like a veil comes down and they just can't see it. For instance, did you know that one of the priests helps take his body down from the Cross? It's there! Nobody sees it. They can only view it from one eye." I wonder to whom he is sending this one eyed message? The female Satan holding a satanic baby looked to some to possibly represent the Antichrist. I am not sure what Mel meant with that scene. It did not come from Emmerich or the Bible. In Mel's movie, I doubt there was any scene that did not have a very specific purpose. What concerns me the most about this movie is that the politically correct, dumbed-down, lukewarm, end time Church of the Laodicea cannot discern enough to know when they see a false Christ. Mel portrayed a false Christ and the evangelicals received him hook, line and sinker as the real Jesus. They have been well conditioned to accept the antichrist as a great and wonderful Holy Man deserving their reverence. They will even be begging to receive the mark. After all, Emmerich states in one of her visions that the antichrist will win the battle at Megiddo and rule the world. You all can follow Emmerich, but as for me the authority of the scriptures is the only authority. Let God be truth and every man a Liar. Of course I have taken a very unpopular position on this movie and will receive much persecution. I keep telling myself "Blessed are those who are persecuted for righteousness sake". No one wants to be persecuted unless they really believe in something so much, or are obedient no matter what the consequences. Mel did receive some persecution for this movie. He brought on the persecution because he believes so much in Emmerich. I brought on persecution out of obedience to the WORD of God! All week agonizing over doing this article, I was haunted by this song I sang to my child "Dare to be a Daniel, dare to stand alone." On this date, the Springfield Township Police Department arrived as Marcavage was peacefully exercising free speech by holding anti-abortion signs on a public sidewalk. The officers subdued Marcavage by bending his hand behind his back, which brought him to the ground. Then, broke his two signs in front of him and fled the scene, taking the damaged signs and swiping a micro cassette recorder from his hand without citing or arresting him. Around 10AM, Marcavage was standing on a public sidewalk in Springfield, Pa. (just outside of Lansdowne where he resides). He was facing traffic on the Baltimore Pike with two anti-abortion signs. At approximately 10:50AM, two police officers pulled up in their police car, approached Marcavage, and asked what he was doing. Marcavage explained, "I am here to show the people driving by the reality of abortion". One of the officers then commented on the graphic nature of the signs. "I certainly don't enjoy holding these signs," Marcavage replied, "but it grieves my heart that over 4,000 babies are killed everyday through abortion. People need to see this truth." One of the officers then responded, "the sign is pretty graphic". He then told the officers that he was willing to move to another part of the sidewalk, but the officers dodged this when one of them asked, "What group are you with?" Marcavage then gave them a piece of literature with his ministry's contact information. As the discussion continued, more police cars pulled up and one of the officers said that he could not stand on the sidewalk. Marcavage then asked, "Is there another sidewalk I can go to?" The officer replied, "Not in Springfield. They're all owned by the township." Marcavage then said, "that would make them public". Sergeant Purcell with the Springfield Township police then told Marcavage that he is in charge and that he could not stand on the sidewalk with his signs. Marcavage asked, "What law am I breaking?" At this point, one of the officers placed his hand on Marcavage's sign and pulled it toward him while the other officer bent Marcavage's hand behind his back to inflict pain, which resulted in bringing Marcavage to the ground. The officers then pulled Marcavage up and swiped a micro cassette recorder from his hand, which he was using for his protection. Marcavage then witnessed one of the police officers breaking the signs, then folding them up. Marcavage ended up being left on the sidewalk without his property, without citation, or arrest. "The City of Springfield should be commended in this case, for after facing serious and documented allegations of unconstitutional behavior the City decided to take the high road rather than the low road. It is always refreshing when a city government pays its respect to principle rather than politics," stated Joseph Murray, Marcavage's attorney. "It's good that this matter has been settled. Avoiding legal entanglements whenever possible is best for everyone involved," stated Marcavage after hearing of the township's decision to meet the demand's set forth in a letter from his attorney. Last time I walked into a movie theater was 1987. I don't rent/buy them on VHS/DVD and I don't have cable/satellite. I don't have the time. People demand entertainment. The entertainment industry fulfills that demand in a manner of their choosing. Suppose you have the wherewithal to make a movie. You have folk audition for various parts and you choose the top 5 for a final audition. Suppose that the #1 talent is a conservative Christian and suppose the #5 talent is someone who is apolitical and amoral. All of the top five are very talented and the difference between #1 and #5 is only noticeable to the professional eye/movie critic. Assume that the person you cast in your movie may eventually become a superstar and you are a typical Hollywood liberal. Would you want to catapult Mr. Christian to stardom? Mr.Christian will probably not want to do the movies you have in mind for the future. Mr. Amoral, interested only in money and fame, could care less about the theme of any movie. You may even persuade Mr. Amoral to become involved in liberal causes that you hold near and dear. Who is going to know that you selected the slightly inferior Mr.Amoral over Mr. Christian? Even if someone did know the 'inside story', you could create dozens of rationalizations why Mr. Amoral was more suited to the part than Mr. Christian. Over a period of decades, the film industry becomes decadent and churns out worthless trash not even fit for recycle. But it doesn't matter! Eliminate all laws governing obscenity by calling them "censorship" and a violation of free speech and free press. 25. Break down cultural standards of morality by promoting pornography and obscenity in books, magazines, motion pictures, radio, and TV. 26. Present homosexuality, degeneracy and promiscuity as "normal, natural, healthy." 32. Support any socialist movement to give centralized control over any part of the culture--education, social agencies, welfare programs, mental health clinics, etc. 34. Eliminate the House Committee on Un-American Activities. 37. Infiltrate and gain control of big business. 40. Discredit the family as an institution. Encourage promiscuity and easy divorce. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Tactics introduced by Italian communist Antonio Gramsci in the 1930's have contributed greatly to the decline of the west. Antonio Gramsci, co-founder of the Italian Communist Party in 1921, after spending time in Stalinist Russia, realized that a revolutionary Marxist/Stalinist approach to world socialism would fail in western societies. He realized that the western democracies appreciated the benefits of individual rights, patriotism, and faith in the creator and that these ideas were deeply engrained and would not be easily surrendered. Instead of violent Marxist revolution, Gramsci would advocate a "LONG MARCH THROUGH THE INSTITUTIONS before socialism and relativism would be victorious." His believed that "capitalist bourgeois society" could be seduced into accepting communism through the gradual seduction of the western mind. Wildly popular amongst leftists but not widely known in the broader culture, Gramsci would author over 33 books while in an Italian prison where he died in 1937. Gramscian ideas differ from those of a 19th century British Fabian socialism that called for a creeping conquest of the free world through the gradual changing of the letter and meaning of the law. Fabians established the devastatingly successful ACLU for that purpose. Gransci took communism a step further by advocating a literal change of human consciousness itself. This would be accomplished through the infiltration and gradual control of dominant western cultural, educational and MEDIA INSTITUTIONS. Gramscian communists, such as Theodore Adorno, Erich Fromm, and later Herbert Marcuse, established the Frankfort School at Columbia University in the 1930's with the goal of producing "a new stratum of intellectuals" that would be charged with dominating western culture. The Frankfort School invented "critical theory" which is based on the premise that there is no such thing as objective reality. Everything is "perception" according to critical theory, and perception is controlled by ruling elites who decide what is real. Once the false premise is accepted that an individual's perception is formed by the environment rather than by an intrinsic ability to identify truth, the Gramcian communist, consumed by an insufferable sense of his own superiority, feels entitled to obtain and wield power over the masses for the sake of creating new and better realities and perceptions. The Granscian actually believes that he is morally obligated, based on an overarching sense of superiority, to control others and enforce change. While Marxism, calls for the fomenting of violent conflict between classes, races etc, and Fabian Socialism seeks control over the system of justice and the literal language of the law, Gramscian communism seeks control over culture, established religion, MEDIA, education, and other areas where intellectual discourse takes place. Psychiatry, with its pretensions to knowledge of the innermost being, is a major bailiwick for Gramscian communists. It should be noted that the regressive theories of socialism, when enthroned, have already led to the liquidation of over 100 million human beings and a Holocaust against the Jews of Europe. How can we fight this ever-encroaching behemoth as it colonizes our minds and casts dark clouds over our future? The difficulty lies in the fact that Gramscian communists are not bound to the same objective standards of truth as the rest of us. Given that communism is nothing more than a quest by power-hungry elitists toward the attainment of power for themselves, communists will do virtually anything, whether overt or covert, to achieve their goals. Perhaps the answer is that genuinely progressive lovers of freedom need to recognize that their primary weapon is their addiction to truth, or, as Thomas Jefferson so eloquently stated, "the laws of nature and of nature's God." Vociferously standing up for truth could go a long way toward saving this nation from a slide into totalitarianism. We need to state that we are answerable to a creator of the universe, not to "enlightened" elites who seek to refashion reality in their own image while attempting to overthrow the creator. Marx was not as much an atheist as he was anti-G-d. We need to state that our freedom is predicated on the recognition of individual sovereignty and that the individual, in order to enjoy the fruits of freedom, is capable of discerning objective morality and fashioning his life within the limitations of nature. We must insist that our children be taught in such a manner that they will be able to develop the cognitive abilities that will enable them to function as sovereign individuals rather than what they get now which is political propaganda meant to create confusion, dissonance and docility. We must insist that our culture protect the innocence of our children. We must return a sense of honor and privilege in American citizenship and insist on standards of behavior for guests within our borders. We must re-assert the sovereignty of our federation of states and dis-entangle ourselves from involvements that sacrifice our freedoms and its accompanying prosperity on the alter of world socialism.
