I am repeating the last report on Gale that I shared with you last week. Please keep Gale, Ed, and their children in your prayers. February 13, 2004: Dear Church Family: The pathology reports on Gale have come back revealing that the multiple spots reported in yesterday's e-mail to you are cancerous. No surgery will be done at this time. Gale and Ed will be returning home probably sometime today (Friday). Chemotherapy will begin after Gale has had a bit of time to recover from yesterday's procedure. Continue steadfastly in prayer for Gale, Ed, and the children. God, in His grace, has a plan. Continue to pray that God will protect this family - and our thoughts as well. Where are the men in this nation? Why are they sitting idly by while this country is turned into hell? Where is their courage and leadership? Have they all had spinectomies? In the past men would give their lives to save women and children. Now they pass resolutions while 4,000 babies are slaughtered daily and mothers are dying on the front lines in Iraq. Judicial tyranny rules. Children are running the homes. This country is disintegrating while the fathers are afraid to take a stand. What has become of the God fearing man? Is this how jellyfish live? The courage that existed 230 years ago during the founding of this country is nowhere to be found today. We need to remember the courage it took to come to this country, go against the British, and to rebel as at the Boston Tea Party. Men had courage to explore out west and to secede from the union. They fought lions, tigers and bears without a blink. The sermons from pulpits empowered the men to take courageous stands that helped establish this country. What happened? Are you telling me that small groups of women yelling for equality caused men to tuck their tails and run? That this small group of women caused men to give up their leadership roles in the family, community and government? The tragedy at Columbine brought this crisis to my mind. I could not believe that all the dads were kept from entering the school. The police and firemen were afraid to go into the school because there were two kids with guns and bombs. So children bled to death because it was not yet safe to enter. DO WHAT? I was flabbergasted. What ever happened to sacrificing our lives for our brethren, let alone our families? If I had been there and my child was inside, it would have taken a bullet to keep me out. Fifty years ago all the dads would have shown up with their guns and dared the government to stop them. I guess that's how men with little knives hijack planes. They must have known there were no spines on board. Historically pulpits provided leadership of courage and backbone. The women stayed quiet in the church and the children were well disciplined. Men brought their guns to church, and put clothes on their daughters. This country is full of heroes for men to emulate - look at Christopher Columbus, George Washington, John Adams, Patrick Henry, Robert E. Lee, Stonewall Jackson and our modern day hero, Judge Roy Moore. What happened to America's men? We could blame the feminist movement, or maybe the government doing the job of the men. Could it be the public schools and the drugging of our boys? Maybe pornography and giving into the lusts of the flesh. If there had been real men playing in the Super Bowl, MTV would NOT have done the half time show. Well, whatever happened it must change, or America is doomed. Men encourage their wives to work for the extra money. Who cares who raises the children. And wives, be sure to take that birth control pill even though it could be detrimental to your health, plus cause abortions. After all, the men need sex without responsibility. Your children are being exposed to horrific images on TV and music, but that's okay. We wouldn't want you to miss a down of the football game. On my radio show, my motto is that it is the pulpits and the parents destroying America. I am not willing to blame the Democrats, Republicans, ACLU or liberal judges. This country was founded and became great because of the patriarchal mentality. Families were balanced with a patriarch and a matriarch. Men protected women and children from the dangers of the world. Families were the way God intended them to be. It has often been said when a country is in judgment, "The women are in control and the children rule". God established a natural order for men and women and if we want God's blessings, we must return to that order. Women have taken over many denominations making them pro abortion and pro sodomy. They have infiltrated the military, exploded into the workplace, while their children are either being killed or left to the wolves. The only hope for the children is men turning back to God's Holy Word and returning this country to a patriarchal society again, but I am not holding my breath. Why are the men and especially the pulpits afraid of the women? You do not hear today from the pulpits God's role for women. For some reason they do not want to deal with these issues. Men can take on Osama Bin Laden and the terrorists, but not the women. It is my belief that this country has suffered for giving women the right to vote. As the scriptures say, women are easily deceived and most vote on emotions and feelings instead of facts and hard choices. Now we have men voting the same way. Now, if there is anyone left reading, here is a great quote from an unknown author who says it all! "The greatest want of the world is the want of men---men who will not be bought or sold, men who do not fear to call sin by its right name, men whose conscience is as true to duty as the needle to the pole, men who will stand for the right though the heavens fall." Please men, fear God, not women. Women obey God. Do what is required to turn this country back to a God fearing Bible believing patriarchal country again. "Pryor will likely be a fine addition to a federal judiciary run amok," Clymer said. "Like many of his colleagues, he not only fails to recognize the religious principles underlying our laws, but is willing to ignore the Constitution which is based on them as well." Clymer said the Bush Administration believes conservatives "have no place to go" in the fall elections, other than to re-elect Bush. "But voters do have options," Clymer noted. Church Parking Lots By Fr. Frank Pavone, National Director, Priests for Life With primaries taking place in various parts of the nation and the general election fast approaching, many pastors are approached by people who wish to distribute campaign literature in the Church parking lot, or who simply do it on their own. These are people who have heard the call of the Church to get involved in transforming society! They have understood what the Second Vatican Council meant by the "apostolate of the laity" and their special call to be in the world as witnesses to Christ. They have learned what the Church teaches about the tragic separation of faith and life that leads many to worship in a corner but leave the world unchanged. So they pay attention to elections. They find out who is running, and make a decision in conscience about who is the best person to exercise public office in a way that will advance God's Kingdom of justice, life, and peace. And now they take a practical step and attempt to inform their fellow-believers by handing out literature at the place where they are most likely to find them. Then what happens? Often, they get thrown off the property! The very pastors who are ordained to stir up their gifts to get involved in changing the world now punish them for exercising those gifts! There is no reason to throw such people off the property simply for putting literature on cars. Among the attorneys who advise us at Priests for Life are James Bopp, Jr. and Barry Bostrom, who are among the nation's leading experts on tax law and on what Churches are allowed to do regarding elections. In a recent letter (full text at http://www.priestsforlife.org/elections/parkinglots.pdf ), they advised us as follows: "...[T]he distribution of campaign material by others in the church parking lot will not jeopardize the church's tax exempt status. The mere permission of distribution of campaign materials by others in the church parking lot is not regulated by the Internal Revenue Code. The Code and its regulations are designed to limit only the activities and expenditures of non-profit organizations. Distribution of campaign materials by others outdoors, in a public parking lot, is not an activity or expenditure of the church.... "...[I]n most states there are state court decisions holding that such activity is protected by the First Amendment to the U.S. Constitution and/or the State Constitution, and therefore, the church will suffer no adverse consequences as a result of this activity. There are many cases recognizing the free speech rights of individuals and protecting speech and petitioning, reasonably exercised, in public areas, even when the property is privately owned.... "In other words, churches not only may permit campaign statements to be distributed in their public parking lots, they cannot prohibit such distributions because the parking lots are open to the public." Tuesday, February 24, 2004 The time has come ... sooner than expected. But the battle is about to begin. Starting on Wednesday, the U.S. Senate is scheduled to begin debate on S. 659, the gun makers' protection bill. This bill would attempt to end the dozens of frivolous lawsuits that have been launched against gun makers, in an attempt to put them out of business (or force them to adopt gun restrictions on the firearms they sell). But this will not be the only measure considered. Anti-gun Senators like Dianne Feinstein and John McCain are lining up to offer anti-gun amendments to this bill -- provisions that would extend the Clinton ban on semi-automatic firearms or impose restrictions at gun shows. Clinton's Semi-auto Ban Worse Than Commonly Reported The semi-auto ban, contrary to popular belief, outlawed more than 180 firearms -- not simply 19, as is commonly reported. Even before the Clinton ban was enacted, federal surveys showed that violent criminals only carried a "military-type gun" in about one percent of the crimes nationwide. The Clinton semi-auto ban is a total fraud. Gun Show Restrictions And Bans The gun show amendment would outlaw the private sale of firearms at gun shows, unless the buyer agrees to submit to a background registration check. If the Senate were to adopt the McCain language, it would effectively eliminate gun shows because every member of an organization sponsoring a gun show could be imprisoned if the organization fails to notify each and every "person who attends the special firearms event of the requirements [under the Brady Law]." Thus, if the person responsible for handing out "Brady pamphlets" took a break to go to the bathroom, everyone responsible for the event could be sent to prison. GOA has already notified every Senator that we will OPPOSE S. 659 IF IT IS AMENDED WITH ANY GUN CONTROL PROVISIONS. Funny or Gross? You Decide! Dear Friend, I don't know whether you've seen these hoagie commercials or not, but it's been the talk of the day at my day job for several days now.
