Watch this video, FREE, ONLINE: http://www.mormonchallenge.com/newmc/view.html Film Reveals Evidence Against Mormons' Historical Account Jenni Parker and Chad Groening AgapePress A Utah-based Christian ministry is trying to make the public aware of new DNA research that could spell disaster for the Mormon Church. Since its founding in the 1820s by Joseph Smith, the Mormon Church, now known as the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints (LDS), has claimed that its primary sacred text, the Book of Mormon, is a historical account of a group of Israelites who emigrated to the New World in about 600 B.C. The church claims that modern American Indians are descended from some of these ancient Israelite progenitors (Laman and Lemuel). LDS members claim that the prophet Mormon, who they believe originally compiled the history that became the Book of Mormon, also had Hebrew roots, supposedly being descended from an ancient Israelite named Nephi. According to LDS lore, Mormon's son Moroni hid metal plates engraved with his father's record of the "Nephites" and the "Lamanites" in the side of a hill, where Joseph Smith found them with the divine assistance of the angel Moroni and translated them into English. But now, a new video has documented several DNA studies refuting the purported Hebrew origins of the early inhabitants of the American continent. The video was produced by Living Hope Ministries, the media production arm of Living Hope Christian Fellowship, a small, evangelical non-denominational congregation located in Brigham City, a predominantly LDS community in northern Utah. http://www.livinghopeministries.info/ Living Hope's pastor, Joel Kramer, produced the film titled "DNA vs. the Book of Mormon", which reveals among other evidence, the testimony of molecular anthropologists and other scientific experts asserting that DNA conclusively proves American Indians are not of Israelite ancestry. http://www.mormonchallenge.com/ The Mormon Foundation Crumbles The Book of Mormon has been held up by the LDS as an accurate early history of the Native Americans and of their faith, despite the fact that no artifacts, remnants of cities, linguistic clues, or other scientific proofs have been found to support these propositions. The greater scientific community concurs that American Indians are of Siberian, not Semitic descent, but most LDS members still believe in the historicity of their sacred text, and the church's own Brigham Young University continues to do archeological research in this area. Kramer hopes to bring the truth to the fore. "What we're trying to communicate with the people here in Utah and elsewhere is to give them an understanding that really, all the anthropologists and archaeologists — they are all in agreement, outside of Mormonism, outside of BYU — that the principle ancestors of Native Americans are Asian, and not Hebrew," he says. The film also reveals that there is no archeological evidence of the existence of the people described in the Book of Mormon, or any trace of the Hebrew language among modern Indians. Kramer feels that the most fundamental tenets of Mormonism crumble in light of the evidence. According to the pastor-producer, the history laid out in the Book of Mormon and "this understanding that Hebrews are the ones who populated the Americas -- that's something that they're taught in their Sunday Schools ... something that they're all aware of and have come to believe." But DNA vs. the Book of Mormon sheds light on the lack of foundation for Mormon beliefs, and rebuts the LDS claim that the Book of Mormon is a historical document. Kramer feels the film's revelations have tremendous potential for impact because "this DNA evidence shows that something they've been taught all their lives, from generation to generation, simply isn't true," he says. +++++++ IQ* Resources: If you're interested in learning more about Mormonism, click here for a text document. http://fp.users.fast.net/InfoQuest/Mormonism%20Part%202.txt You can find many resources on false religions and cults on the InfoQuest* Apologetics page! http://fp.users.fast.net/InfoQuest/Apologetics.htm ==================== ==================== (4) Video: The Rewriting of America's History http://www.christianheritagetours.org/videos.htm "There is a sense of urgency in the message of these videos. FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE Contact: Laurel Lynn 717-390-1993 CONSTITUTION PARTY OF PA TO HOST 'TEN COMMANDMENTS' JUDGE, KEYES AT CONFERENCE Middletown, PA - Citing the need to re-introduce fundamental legal principles to the American people, the Constitution Party of Pennsylvania has announced that it will be hosting Alabama Supreme Court Chief Justice Roy Moore and former UN Ambassador Alan Keyes at its Biblical Foundations of American Law Conference, which will be held on Saturday, January 24, in Lancaster. "There are no two more brilliant men in the United States today than Justice Moore and Ambassador Keyes," said Jeff Rhine, chairman of the Constitution Party of Pennsylvania. "Both men are driven not only by their convictions but they also back up what they think and what they believe with facts and principles that strike a cord with everyone who hears them." Moore - who has come to be known as 'The Ten Commandments Judge' - has become a icon among political and social conservatives due to his refusal to obey a federal court order to remove a monument of the Ten Commandments that he erected in the Alabama Supreme Court rotunda, setting off a national firestorm of debate over the federal judiciary and its powers. Keyes - who is recognized as perhaps the nation's greatest modern orator - was twice a Republican candidate for the presidency, and has been an ardent defender and supporter of Moore's since the controversy in Alabama first began. Rhine said that the combined presence of both Moore and Keyes should help to highlight the issues that the non-partisan conference is intended to address. "We want the people who attend the conference to understand two things," Rhine said. "First, we want them to understand that the American system of law was heavily influence by the Judeo-Christian tradition at the behest of our Founding Fathers. "That's not to say that they established an American theocracy but that the nature of our laws is naturally intended to incline our hearts and minds to principles and ideals that do have an origin that is religious," he said. The second thing the conference is to instill upon attendees is an understanding of the limited powers that the federal Constitution granted to the federal courts, and that those same courts are accountable to Congress for their actions and behavior. "We want conference members to realize why our federal courts are not pseudo-sacred institutions but are themselves limited in both their scope and authority," Rhine said. "And when our federal courts step beyond their authority and go beyond their limits, then it is the duty of Congress to rein them back in." Rhine said that in addition to Moore and Keyes, Howard Phillips of the Conservative Caucus and Michael Peroutka of the Institute on the Constitution have also been invited to attend the conference. "We're hoping to have all four men available for a panel discussion during the course of the conference," Rhine said. "That alone will be an incredible experience, having four of the greatest conservative minds together at one place, at one time." Jim Clymer, chairman of the Constitution Party National Committee and a resident of Lancaster County, said that he is excited about the prospects of having Moore and Keyes come to the midstate. "Even though they have different styles, both Justice Moore and Ambassador Keyes are incredible speakers and have a way of drawing an audience into their hearts and minds," he said. The Biblical Foundations of American Law conference is scheduled to take place during the afternoon of Saturday, January 24, and will be followed by a formal banquet at which both Moore and Keyes will be speaking. Both the conference and the banquet are scheduled to be held at the Lancaster Host Resort in Lancaster. The cost of the conference is $25 per person and the cost of the banquet is $50 per person. A special package rate of $65 for both the conference and the banquet is available. Private reception tickets are available for $125 but space is limited. Hotel Rooms are available at the rate of $79 per night. To order tickets or for more information, contact 717-390-1993.
