This is the effect of something that I touched on in last week's e-newsletter; The Defeatist Theology. You may not want to get involved in politics, but politics will always get involved with you! Yes. That's right. The hard truth. We can wash our hands of politics, but that won't stop politics from greatly affecting our lives and the lives of our loved ones. Then, we'll look at the effect of non-political involvement at the national level. Finally, we'll prayerfully look at some solutions. ==================== ==================== (2) Bad Theology = Bad Culture What, from pulpits around the world, has conditioned Judeo-Christian value people to view political involvement as a deadly sin? Some research points to the Fabian Movement of the 1800's: Committed to socialist world government, the Fabians adopted the practices of "penetration" and "permeation" to spread their malevolent influence through government, academe, the press, the churches, and all other social institutions. The Fabians sought the same objective as militant Marxists, but employed patient incrementalism, rather than violent revolution. C. S. Lewis said that the greatest illusion ever performed in the history of mankind is Satan convincing mankind that Satan does not exist. There IS a conspiracy to undermine the Judeo-Christian culture, and that conspiracy is organized to a great part by Satan and carried out by those who are lost. By understanding the Defeatist Theology, we uncover the truth about our world; how our understanding of eschatology shapes our actions; knowing that Jesus Christ is King of Kings and Lord of Lords for Ever and Ever, and that through His Holy Spirit in us, we can be victorious over evil just as Daniel and George Washington were victorious! My town, Perkasie, is divided into three wards. The incumbents, people who understood the Constitution and civics, were not re-elected. One of the Perkasie Borough Council members who lost re-election was my friend Joe Schiaffino (who ran against Republican Abortion Monster Jim Greenwood in '98) of Ward 3. See the quality of Joe here: http://www.enter.net/~conservative/ "There was a 15% voter turnout in the third ward," said election official Betty Graver (reported in the May 21, 2003 News-Herald). Look at the voter guide given out by two other challengers who won seats on the Perkasie Borough Council in the Republican Primary: "Democrats can write-in Lee Metzger and Jim Liebenow. Ask about write-in instructions before entering voting booth. Write-in will help Lee Metzger and Jim Liebenow be on the Democratic Ballot for November election." What does this tell you about the people who got elected??!! They don't even care what political party they stand for!!!! Other data: "There was a 20% voter turnout among the 1,800 registered first ward voters." "The second voting district saw a 17% voter turnout for the primary." THIS IS WHY THE USA'S POLITICAL STRUCTURE IS MORALLY CRASHING! Were these voter turnouts similar for your town's primary election? ==================== ==================== (4) Defeatist Theology at the National Level HIGH COURT STRIKES DOWN TEXAS SODOMY LAW The U.S. Supreme Court has struck down an anti-sodomy law in Texas -- effectively telling states they can no longer punish homosexual couples for engaging in activities the Bible says are "unnatural" and sinful. More details: http://headlines.agapepress.org/archive/6/262003a.asp Steve Crampton, chief counsel for the American Family Association's Center for Law & Policy, which filed a brief in support of the State of Texas on behalf of numerous pro-family organizations, said this: "Today's decision represents yet another instance of the Court not merely declaring the law, but actually making it," says Crampton, who had argued that issues of morality are under the authority of states, not the federal courts. "Under our constitutional republic, it is the place of the state legislature, acting through its duly elected representatives, to decide what is moral," he says. "For a handful of un-elected judges to impose their views of morality is not law, it is tyranny." Today, in Gary Bauer's "End of Day," http://www.cwfpac.com/cwf_eod_request.htm he wrote, "Consider the precedent the Court has now set. Every argument the six Justice majority used can be applied with equal force to strike down state laws against prostitution, bestiality, and every other form of adult sexual activity. Once the highest court of the land says that 'privacy' outweighs the compelling interest a society has in promoting family, and reliable standards of right and wrong, there is no place to draw a line. Indeed, even the drug legalization crowd must be celebrating. If two adults want to use drugs in the privacy of their own bedroom isn't their "right to privacy" being violated by state laws prohibiting such behavior?" Here's part of a letter that I received from Jim Clymer, Chairman of the Constitution Party http://www.ConstitutionParty.com "In recent days, conservative leaders like Ken Connor, Gary Bauer, James Dobson and Phyllis Schlafly have protested Republican unwillingness to defend Senator Rick Santorum in the face of withering attacks by leftist media and ideologues. What did Senator Santorum do? He stood up for Texas' law against sodomy now being challenged in the Supreme Court. apparently that was too "intolerant" for the Bush team. After all, this is the same administration that refused to file an amicus brief in support of the Texas law [President Bush's OWN STATE!]. The same administration that *did* get involved *against* pro-life activist Joe Scheidler when the pro-aborts had him in the Supreme Court! As if that weren't enough to get pro-family groups riled, Marc Raciot, Republican National Chairman, held a secret meeting with the Human Rights Campaign, a radical homosexual activist group. At the meeting, Raciot spoke of 'tolerance' and 'inclusiveness' and voiced no opposition to the group's agenda for homosexual marriage, adoption rights and civil rights of homosexuality as a civil right." It's time to divest ourselves of a "one political party only" mentality and stop voting for "the lesser of two evils" because Evil is Evil is Evil is Evil! We must vote, and vote for the best person, regardless of their party, be it Constitution, Libertarian, Republican, etc. ==================== ==================== (5) IQ* Solutions 1.
