Take for example the recent war on terrorism in Afghanistan - perceived by most as a just action against a legitimate target - simple retribution for the thousands killed in the WTC and Pentagon attacks. The victims were helpless in the matter, and not only that; they were daughters, sons, fathers, mothers, brothers, and sisters of our fellow Americans. We don't like it when family gets killed. With that thought in mind, what type of person best embodies the sense of what 'family' is all about? If your answer was 'babies,' go to the head of the class. One's own child is usually the first contact an individual has with the responsibility of nurturing life - younger siblings don't count...I hear they're regarded as a 'nuisance.' [I'm an only child.] We Americans have such a great respect for life that we fought in two world wars - which we had no part in starting - ostensibly to preserve freedom in nations being overrun by totalitarianism. We fought communism in Korea and Viet-Nam, and have been involved in several small actions since then, all in the name of preserving the dignity of human life. We talk a big talk about 'human rights' and how 'other nations' violate those of their citizens, but what goes on in our own backyard is less than pure. The following was excerpted from an article in the Washington Times: -- "Most late-term abortions are performed in the womb by killing the fetus with a saline solution, injecting potassium chloride into the heart or by dismembering it. But Christ Hospital [Oak Lawn, IL] uses a method called induced-labor abortion, in which labor is induced weeks before a child is viable outside the womb. Those who are born alive are simply left to die. Despite all the publicity, it is still practiced, [former Christ Hospital nurse Jill Stanek says]. 'I knew of at least two deliveries in 2001 who were healthy,' she says. 'One little girl aborted last spring was 23 weeks [past conception]. She weighed a pound. She began breathing on her own, but she was never given any medical attention. She lived for 2 1/2 hours in the labor and delivery department after never having been seen by any neonatal doctors.' Mrs. Stanek first protested the hospital's policy in May 1999 after she discovered a boy weighing half a pound lying on a counter in a utility room. "The infant had been aborted in the 21st week of pregnancy because he had Down syndrome. The nurse discovered that no one else wanted to touch the child; the parents did not want to hold him and the rest of the hospital staff had no time. As she held him, the 10-inch-long boy gasped for breath for another 45 minutes until his underdeveloped lungs expired. ... Today, some infants who survive abortion at Christ Hospital are taken to a 'comfort room.' 'It has pretty wallpaper, and a rocking chair in a corner to rock these babies to death,' Mrs. Stanek says." There have been others, but they barely get published...we don't have to guess why this is so. Our national media is a tool for evil...plain and simple. There may be some good folks working in it, but by and large, the institution is an evil one, working Satan's bidding night and day. Recently, thousands of men and billions of dollars of equipment have been shipped to Afghanistan, in our name. The goal is a worthy one...root out the terrorists wherever they may be hiding. We cannot let 9/11 happen again. But what of the millions who die in our nation's 'health care' centers? Are babies worth fighting for? We have been saying 'no' for a long time. This is not to speak of editorialising, picketing, advocating, etcetera-ing for the cause against abortion - it is much more than that. What if Jews in Nazi Germany staged letter-writing campaigns to their legislators? What if they picketed the Reichstag? What if they put pro-Jew bumper stickers on their cars? Would it have made a difference? Are we that naïve? Realising that there are flaws in the above scenario, still there are lessons to take away. When innocent life is threatened, the hero is the one who whacks the bad guy...never mind what the law said. Was it 'legal' for the American Colonists to shoot the British? Silly question, isn't it? History has judged in our favor. If Jews in Hitler's Germany were able to shoot back at the Gestapo, that would also have been justified, based on what we know about the Holocaust. We don't care what German law said they could and couldn't do. The Old Testament is full of accounts of evil Kings of Israel, straying from the Law and leading their people into idolatry. God judged them for those deviances, and when we read the stories, we say "why couldn't they just have listened to God?" Just as the Kings of Israel legalised, legitimised, and demanded idolatry, so has our government and society legalised murder. How foolish are we to 'go along' with the powers that be? Will our descendants read about our complacency, shake their heads, and say "why couldn't they just have listened to God?" For those of you who will, forthwith, e-mail Romans, Chapter 13 to me, spare yourself. Government that is "...not a terror to good works, but to the evil," is ordained by God. If government violates the Ten Commandments, it is, by definition, not ordained by God, and we should not be obedient to the evil it endorses. Don't worry about avoiding the evils of Nazi Germany...they're here. In every real sense, they're already here. What are we going to do, and when are we finally going to do it? I admit that I am no better than anyone else out there. I myself do not feel up to taking the stand that justice demands, making me just as bad a sinner as any of the apostatising Hebrews in the Old Testament. W. Bush has betrayed the pro-life cause. The latest example is his push for $15 billion in U.S. tax dollars to be sent to Africa for A.I.D.S prevention. According to British sources, "President George W. Bush dismissed a bid by conservative Christians to restrict his $15 billion foreign initiative to fight A.I.D.S. to only those programs that reject abortion and promote abstinence." In other words, Bush proposes to send federal dollars to those organizations that promote abortion and promiscuity. The New York Times concurred with the British report by saying, "Ignoring objections from his conservative base, President Bush is to make a Rose Garden speech on Tuesday in support of a $15 billion bill to fight A.I.D.S. internationally that will direct some money to groups that promote abortion." By choosing to fund pro-abortion groups, Bush is breaking his word to pro-lifers and is proving, once again, that he has no real convictions regarding the life issue. Furthermore, Bush is a living, breathing example of the old adage, "The man who has a reputation of an early-riser can sleep 'till noon." Bush enjoys the reputation of a pro-life, pro-family president and, therefore, is able to repeatedly endorse pro-abortion and pro-homosexual proposals, and few people even notice. Bush has done every bit as much to promote the homosexual agenda as Bill Clinton did, maybe more. He has done absolutely nothing of substance to promote the life issue. Just the opposite. He has routinely compromised and capitulated the life issue to the point that it is now laughable when anyone calls this president "pro-life." Overall, the A.I.D.S. epidemic is behaviorally spread. It is mostly spread through promiscuous homosexual sex. Of course, it is also spread through promiscuous heterosexual sex and through germ- infected intravenous drug needles. The vast percentage of A.I.D.S. victims are reaping the consequences of their own decadent lifestyles. Sadly, the fallout of this disease also impacts many children, hemophiliacs and others, who have become the innocent victims of other people's sins. No amount of tax dollars will solve that problem. Only a repentant heart and changed lifestyle will cure the escalating spread of A.I.D.S. And, by the way, this remedy requires no federal tax dollars! Perhaps one day conservative Christians will wake up to the fact that Mr. Bush seldom represents them and will decide to put their combined support and influence behind a principled conservative who will be faithful to the immutable laws upon which this nation was founded. Allow me to share with you the Jewish and Christian reasons for why abortion is an abomination to God and must be used as a litmus test for, not only the upcoming presidential election, but for every election and every opportunity for which we can cast a vote or speak up. The Tanakh is the Hebrew Bible (the Old Testament). It comprises the "Torah" (the five books of Moses), the Prophets - "Nevi'im" (the Former Prophets, "Nevi'im Rishonim"; and the Later Prophets, "Nevi'im Ahronim"), and the Writings - "Ketuvim" (these all comprise the Old Testament). Jews and Christians, by definition, believe the Tanakh (the Old Testament) to be holy word of God through His prophets. Nowhere in the Tanakh (Old Testament) does God say that it is ok to kill any of His children for any reason. In fact, it says quite the opposite. In the Ketuvim is the Book of Psalms, where two of the most respected God-ordained leaders in the history of the world, King David and King Solomon, speak of the importance of children and the preservation of their lives. Since the Tanakh is the first half of the Christian Bible, both Christians and Jews, by definition, are to believe the writings as God's own, which state that, not only are we never to kill His children, but that His children are His before they are even brought together from a sperm and an egg. I am including the references so that you can see it for yourself. Psalm 139:13-16, Author: King David "For you created my inmost being; you knit me together in my mother's womb. I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made; your works are wonderful,I know that full well. My frame was not hidden from you when I was made in the secret place. When I was woven together in the depths of the earth, your eyes saw my unformed body. All the days ordained for me were written in your book before one of them came to be. The following is taken from the New King James Version, Life Application Bible, Tyndale House Publishers, Wheaton, Illinois. Psalm 127:3-5 Author: King Solomon "Behold, children are a heritage from the Lord, The fruit of the womb is a reward. Like arrows in the hand of a warrior, So are the children of one's youth. Happy is the man who has his quiver full of them; They shall not be ashamed, But shall speak with their enemies in the gate." Here is the life application commentary (p. 1057): "Too often children are seen as liabilities rather than assets. But the Bible calls children a heritage from the Lord," a reward. We can learn valuable lessons from their inquisitive minds and trusting spirits. Those who view children as a distraction or nuisance should instead see them as an opportunity to shape the future. We dare not treat children as an inconvenience when God values them so highly." Seeing how, according to the Tanakh and the Bible, abortion IS killing a person, God's child, it IS Eugenics, because the person is not wanted because he or she falls into a category created by another person other than the one being killed (those categories being: "unwanted", "mistake", "rape", "incest"). It IS Eugenics to Jews and Christians because, as the Tanakh and Bible references prove, killing a baby because its father is a rapist or related to its mother is the same as walking up to someone and killing them because their father is a rapist or is related to their mother. A baby, a fertilized human egg, is a Person. "Fathers shall not be put to death for their children, nor shall children be put to death for their fathers; a person shall be put to death for their own sin. Deuteronomy 24:16." If you don't believe this, then according to the Tanakh and the Bible, you're not a Jew or a Christian.
